Our Lys Valley is a first-class gastronomic region. La Durée (Izegem) and Boury (Roeselare) have two Michelin stars and there are a few restaurants with one Michelin star, namely Marcus (Deerlijk), Vol-Ver (Kortrijk), Berto (Waregem) and Castor (Waregem).
Looking for something simpler? Try our delicious regional specialities like Avelgem's Pear Pie, a Piro, Elixir de Roulers, a cup of comforting Grootmoeders Koffie or Echt Kriekenbier. Our Flemish Red-Brown Ales, Rodenbach being the most famous, will appeal to beer lovers.
