New cycling network
The cycling network is well-known throughout Flanders. Ten years after the nodes network was started, much has changed. Cyclists have evolved and the infrastructure has improved. That's why there is a completely new cycling network in West Flanders as from 2016.
A lot has changed in the Lys Valley too. The new Lys Valley cycling network is more extensive and safer with new cycling paths, cycling bridges and tunnels, accessible nature reserves, new places of interest, extra rest areas, clearer signs, better numbering, etc.
This has consequences for the well-known cycling network maps. The separate, old maps of Lys Valley West and East will disappear. From now on you'll find the entire Lys Valley cycling network on one recto-verso map.
